More details have been released regarding a murder that occurred at an apartment complex in the 500 block of Twilight Drive in Morris around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 4th.
Grundy County Coroner John Callahan says 25-year-old Beverly Lambert, of Shorewood, was shot and killed.
Callahan says Lambert was taken to Morris Hospital where she was pronounced dead shortly before seven last night.
Morris Public Information Officer Stan Knudson said the male suspect was apprehended using flock cameras a few hours after the shooting.
The Morris Police Department last night said officers arrested a 16-year-old for First Degree Murder. He was transported to River Valley Detention Center.
Meanwhile, a shelter-in-place order was put into effect during the incident, but was later lifted after the suspect was apprehended. The incident remains under investigation.
